Unlike Lake Wobegon, my life in Milwaukee presents a bit of drama. I don't mean the opening of the theater season, although that's also happening.
I was going to begin immunotherapy last week. What I didn't know was if my treatment had been authorized by my Medicare provider. After a nug from my doctor, the authorization has been granted. Good news?
Not yet, anyway. I'll see my Oncologist on Thursday (9/14). I'm delaying publication so I can fill everyone in.
One of the significant issues is my cost. The stuff they are using is expensive. I should be okay this year because I've exceeded my out-of-pocket expenses. The question remains: what happens next year?
Results of Doctor visit.
My concerns about the cost were resolved. I had my first Immunotherapy injection of Katruda. I will have further doses every three weeks. They will do a CT scan in about three months to monitor progress.
Theater Again
We kicked the theater season off by attending a table reading at Next Act Theater. It was performed by a group of actors who had a mere two hours to rehearse.
It was written by the playwright who wrote Next Act's season opener, Splash Hatch On The E Going Down, Kia Corthron.
I realize we have recently been in Spring Green at APT, and we are going to Peninsula Players in Door County, but that is closing the summer season, not kicking off the winter season.

Brewer Maina
While the discussion about the Milwaukee Brewers is mainly about their leading the National League's Central division, hopefully leading to post-season play, There is the issue of how the updating and maintenance of American Family Field will be paid for. Milwaukee taxpayers are thinking about throwing the tea over the rails. When you have potholes in the streets that are big enough to hide a KIA, giving a billionaire your money isn't high on the list of charities you support
A good overview from my State Senator Chris Larson.
An Editorial from Bruce Murphy with Urban Milwaukee. com
Both articles require reading, and the subject matter will be on the test.
In the meantime, watching the team play has been challenging, particularly if you have a heart condition. They lost a game they should have won in fourteen innings to the Yankees. The next evening they beat the Miami Marlins 12 to 0, and the pitcher threw a complete game. A pitcher completing nine innings is almost as rare as a no-hitter.
